Welcome to a stay rooted in neighbourhood charm
Welcome to the Guest House in Vancouver’s first neighbourhood, Strathcona. Part of the appeal of being a guest in this home is the neighbourhood. Strathcona is first and foremost a community. You are surrounded by artisans, families, and a lovely mix of cultures. There are several corner stores, restaurants, bars and you are within walking distance to the seawall, downtown, coliseum, and theatres.
The space
This newly built Guest House (November 2021) is independent yet attached to a designated Heritage House (1903). The kitchen has granite counter tops that evolve into a dining room table. The living room boasts gorgeous art from a local artist. Upstairs has a light-filled bedroom with triangular windows, a full bathroom with heated marble floors, rain shower head, full soaker tub and skylights, and a washer/dryer at your disposal.
Whether you are here to work or play, the home is equipped with high-speed wifi.
Step outside onto your own porch where you can gently rock while watching people walk or cycle by on the bike route or exit the French doors onto your own private patio space where you can sit on a bench and read a book or have a quiet dinner.
Guest access & getting around
There are several ways to get around Vancouver and beyond from our home. A Mobi Bike Share station is right across the road and you can follow routes across the city with ease. The bus stop is a three minute walk away and the skytrain station is approximately a 15 minute walk.
The Guest House is easily accessible to some of Vancouver's top spots including Olympic Village, Downtown Vancouver, Chinatown, Gastown, Commercial Drive, Granville Island, Rogers Arena, BC Place, Vancouver Art Gallery and much more.
